REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 1589 N.S.
(WEBB AVENUE FIRE
STATION LEASE)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordi-
nance No. 1589 N.S., enacted
April 16, 1969, a lease between
the City and the C h r i s t i a n
Churches of Northern California -
Nevada, a non - profit corporation,
was authorized and subsequently
entered into, by which the latter,
as lessee, undertook to use cer-
tain premises owned by the City
commonly known as the "Webb
Avenue Fire Station" as a lessee -
operated Youth Center, all in ac-
cordance with a written lease
therefor filed in the Office of the
City Clerk on April 1, 1969; and
WHEREAS, said lessee and its
agents have determined said lease
has become impossible of per-
formance for the proposed use,
or otherwise, and has requested
it be cancelled by mutual con-
sent of the parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No.
1589 N.S. be and hereby is
repealed.
Section 2. That the lease be-
tween the , parties, and of the
premises, hereinabove in the re-
citals referred to, is hereby can-
celled and declared to be of no
force or effect, and the rights
and obligations of the parties
thereto shall cease.
Section 3. This ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from
and after the expiration of thirty
(30) days from the date of its
final passage.
