Ordinance 1604Alameda City Ordin Ordinance No. 1604 New Series CITY OF ALAMEDA Ordinance N®. 1604 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICL PAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2533 THEREOF RELATING TO SICK LEAVE FOR EMPLOYEES INJURED OR DISABLED IN THE COURSE OF EMPLOYMENT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AI..AMEDA: Section 1. That Section 2.533 of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 2 -533. Industrial Lnjury or Disability. Any officer or employee of the City who sustains any injury or dis- ability arising out of and in the course of his employment with the City, and by reason thereof becomes entitled to receive compensation under the provisions of the Nork- men's Compensation Insur- ance and Safety Act of the State of California, or other state law or any ordinance of the City, shall be entitled to remain absent from duty, and to receive from the City, for each separate in)ury or disa- bility while such irijury or dis- ability continues, but for not more than one (1) ear, a sum equal to the difference be- Lween the amount of his salary and the amount of compensation a l l o w e d him under such act, law or City ordinance. Nothing contained h e r e i n shall in any manner affect any of the ,provisions or. ri relating to pensions for officers and employees of the Police and Fire Departments contained in other ordinances of the City. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage. TERRY ILA CROIX, JR.
