AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF REAL
PROPERTY (STANDARD OIL COMPA-
NY — 461.15 SQ. FT:),

Section 1. That the City of
Alameda acquire by purchase
from the Standard Oil Compa-
ny of California, a corporation,
for the sum of 54,611.50 that
certain real property situated
in the City of Alameda, County
of Alameda. State of Califor-
nia, particularly described as
follows:
13 EGINNING at the intersec-
tion of the easterly line of
Webster Street, 80.00 feet in
width. and the northerly 1i:ne
of Buena Vista Avenue. 60.00
feet in width, as said lines,
street and avenue are show :n
on the map of the Shepard-
son Property, Mastick Sta-
tion, filed March 18, 1876,
Map Book 2, Page 48, Alame-
da County Records, said in-
tersection having coordinates
of Y.469,959.57 feet and
X =1,486,900.56 feet based on
tt e California Coordinate
System Zone III, as are all
bearings and distances in
this description;
THENCE along said easterly
line of Webster Street. North
2' 47' 55" East 45.00 feet to
a point;
THENCE southerly along the
arc of a curve to the left
having a radius of 292.00 feet

83° 18' 20" East to the cen-
ter) through an angle of 1"

7.92 feet to a point of com-
pound curve;
THENCE southeasterly along

on the Iollow,irrg terms and
conditions:
(1) That good and rraerchaari-
table title in fee simple in said
real property be conveved to
clear of all objections, liens,
encumbrances and conditions,
(2) That said title be evi-
denced by a California Land
Title Association Standard
Coverage form of title insur-
ance, issued by Title Insurance
and Trust Company, uinder Es-
crow No, 0K- 168846, insuring
the title in the City, as pro-
vided for in the preceding sub-
section.
(3) That upon deposit with
said Company for delivery to
the City of a good and suffi-
cient deed conveying said
property in fee simple to the
City, and-conditioned upon the
issuance of said policy of land
title insurance, the form of
said deed and said policy to
be first approved by the City
Attorney, a check of the City
be drawn in the sum of
54,611.50, payable to the order
of said escrow holder, for t.he
purpose of' effecting said pur-
chase and sate. City and Coun-
ty real property taxes, in pro -
rated amount, due at the date
of closing of escrow shall be
paid by the Grantor.
Section 2. That the sum of
54,611.50, together with a sum
sufficient to cover cost of title
insurance and other expenses
related to said purchase and
sale, be atppropriated from the
Special Gas Tax Street Im-
rovement Fund (Account
9), to pay the purchase price
of said real property, cost. of
land title insurance, a.nd inci-
dental expenses.
Section 3. This ordirian.ce
shall be in full force and effect
from and after the expiration
of thirty (3() ) clays; from the
date of its final p assnge.
