The City of Alame• da grant to East Bay Munici- pal Utility District, a public corporation of the state of Cali - fornia, non- exclusive ease- ments and rights of way for the purpose of .laying : down, constructing, reconstructing, removing, replacing; repairing, maintaining and operating, for transmission and distribution of water, pipe lines and all necessary 'appurtenances thereto, in, under, along and across the following real prop- erty in the City of Alameda County of Alameda. Ordinance No. 1664 New Series PARCEL 2 A TEMPORARY CON- STRUCTION EASEMENT terminating on December 31, 1974 to provide access to con- struction areas, for op-eration 01' equipment, for movement of supplies upon, over and across the following de- scribed real property; A STRIP OF LAND 25 feet wide, measured at right an- gles, lying contiguous to and southerly of the southern line of Parcel 1 above de- scribed. EXCEPTING T H ER E- PROM that portion which lies southerly of the southern line of Maitland Drive, 60 feet wide. BEARINGS AND DIS- TANCES are based on the California Coordinate Sys- tem, `Lone III. Multiply dis- tances by 1.000071 to obtain ground level distances. Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to, re- spectively. on behalf of the City, an appropriate instru- ment of rant of said ease - ments, in form substantially to that heretofore filed in the Of- fice of the . City Clerk and marked "Filed, March 21 1972." Provided, however, said grants shall reserve to the City the right to use said real prop- erty for other public purposes, including streets, sewers, wires, conduits and necessary purposes, and to grant other non-exclusive public service easements therein.
