AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS
OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC
REGULATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN-
CIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1. Section 17 -344.1 (24- Minute
Parking Limit) of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by
repealing subsection (6) (a) thereof.
Section 2. Section 17 -461 (Yield
Right -of -Way) of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by
repealing subsection (12) thereof.
Section 3. Section 17 -432 (Stop Inter-
sections of the Alameda Municipal
Code is hereby amended by repealing
subsection (89) thereof and adding sub-
section (212) thereto, to read as
follows:
(212) Broadway and Blanding
r Avenue, a sign shall be erected on
Broadway at or near the southeas-
teriv corner of its intersection with
Blanding Avenue.
2. That such regulations should
necessarily be immediately effec-
tive on passage to insure that
maximum preservation of public
welfare is obtained.
3. That a potential health and
safety problem will exist if such
amendments are not immediately
effective.
4. That, in light of such potential
health and safety problems in-
volved, the normal delay between
enactment of this ordinance and its
effective date would be injurious.
5. This Council hereby finds, de-
termines and declares that it is i n the
best interest and necessity that this
ordinance be introduced and passed
at the regular meeting of the City
Council held May 4, 1976, and that
this ordinance become and be in full
force and effect May 5, 1976.
