Ordinance 1827CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1827 New Series AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OR THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL, CODE RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 . Section 17 -232 (U -Turn Prohibited) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (36) thereto to read as follows: (36) Otis Drive and Willow Street. Section 2 . Section 17 -342 (Two -Hour Parking Limit) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsections (49) and (50) thereto to read as follows: (49) Central Avenue, on the northerly side thereof, beginning at a point 9 feet easterly from the easterly line of Everett Street and running thence easterly 212 feet. (50) Park Avenue, on the westerly side thereof, between the southerly line of Central Avenue and the northerly line of Encinal Avenue and on the easterly side of Park Avenue between the northerly line of Encinal Avenue and a point 324 feet northerly therefrom. Section 3 . Section 17 -333 (All Time and Limited No Parking) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsec- tion (65) thereof to read as follows: (65) Blanding Avenue, on the northerly side thereof, between a point 175 feet westerly of the west lane of Broadway extended and the northerly line of Tilden Way. Section 1. This ordinance is one of great necessity and urgency within be meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter, is introduced aid passed at the same Council meeting and shall become eifoctiva on September 8, 1976. Section 5 . The facts constituting the necessity and urgency hereof are: 1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly flow and control of traffic within the City. 2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public welfare is obtained. 3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist if such amendments are not immediately effective. 4. That, in light of such potential health and safety problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and its effective date would be injurious. 5. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares E L 0 0 cf 'C3 � © 0 In_ that it is in the best interest and necessity that this ordinance be introduced and passed at the regular meeting of the City Council held September 7, 1976, and that this ordinance become and be in full force and effect September 8, 1976.
