AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 11- 231(d)(2) OF AND ADDING SECTION 11 -231.1
TO ARTICLE 3 OF CHAPTER 2, TITLE XI THEREOF,
RELATING TO REGULATIONS OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Article 3 of Chapter 2, Title XI of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section
11- 231(d)(2) thereof to read:
Sec. 11 -231
(d) (2) Improvements to existing single family dwellings.
Section 2 . Article 3 of Chapter 2, Title XI of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by Section
11 -231.1 thereto to read:
Sec. 11- 231.1 Advisory Review
(a) Improvements exempted pursuant to the provisions
of Section 11- 231(d) may be reviewed to advise the owner
or the owner's agent whether such improvements are
compatible with the Design Review Manual.
(b) Advisory review shall not be made unless the
owner or owner's agent applies therefor and such review
shall not alter the owner's right to the issuance of any

permits.

Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from

in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of June, 1977, by the following
