Ordinance 1916CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1916 New Series AMENDING SECTION 17 -344.1 OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING LIMITS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 Section 17 -344.1 124- Minute Parking Limit) of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (24) thereto, to read as follows: (24) Lincoln Avenue (Oak Street to Walnut Street), commencing at a point in the (a) South curb line of Lincoln Avenue, 13 feet westerly from the west line of Oak Street and running thence westerly 128 feet. Section 2 This ordinance is one of great necessity and urgency within the meaning of Section 3 -12 of the City Charter, is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall become effective on April 19, 1978. Section 3 The facts constituting the necessity and urgency hereof are: 1. That traffic regulations are essential for the orderly flow and control of traffic within the City. 2. That such regulations should necessarily be immediately effective on passage to insure that maximum preservation of public welfare is obtained. 3. That a potential health and safety problem will exist if such amendments are not immediately effective. -1- 4. That, in light of such potential health and safety Problems involved, the normal delay between enactment of this ordinance and its effective date would be injurious. 5.
