AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION
13-1102 OF ARTICLE 10, CHAPTER 1, TITLE XIII PROVIDING
FOR IN LIEU LICENSE FEES ( EMERGENCY LEGISLATION)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that:
Section 1. Chapter. 1 of Title XIII of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section 13-1102
which shall read as follows:
Sec. 13-1102. Excluded. Persons required to pay
license fees under Sections 1-3-195, 13-195.5, 13-197,
13-1913, 13-1919, 13-1920, 13-1922, 13-1926, 13-1931,
13-1,938 and persons with no previous years'
gross receipts shall not pay in lieu fees under this
article.
Section 2. This ordinance is one of great necessity and
urgency within the meaning of Section 3-12 of the City Charter,
is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall
became effective on June 21, 1978.
Section 3. The facts constituting the necessity and
urgency hereof , are:
(1) That the annual payment for the license fees
begins on July 1, 1978.
(2) That if this ordinance is not. in effect prior to
said date, persons required by law to pay license fees
would be allowed to pay in lieu taxes, in variance with

the intent of this Council.
(3) This Council hereby finds, determines and declares
that it is in the best public interest and necessity that
this ordinance be introduced and passed at the regular
meeting of the City Council held June 20, 1978 and that

this Ordinance become and be in full force and effect on
June 21, 1978.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of June, 1978, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman,
and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
