Ordinance 1929CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE N0. 1929 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE, UNIFORM FIRE CODE, UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND PLUMBING CODE BY AMENDING AND /OR ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES AND CHARGES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 . The fees and charges contained in the Alameda iiuui tol Code, the Alameda Building Code, the Alameda Plumbing Code and the Fire Code of the City of Alameda, as set out in Exhibits A, A -1, A -2 and B, attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in full, are hereby amended and /or established. Section 2 . The fees and charges adopted herein do not exceed the actual cost of providing copies of public documents and shall be codified at a later date. Section 2 . Pursuant to Section 3 -12 of the Charter of the City of Alameda, this ordinance is introduced and passed at the same Council meeting and shall become effective at 11:00 p.m. on June 30, 1978. /s/ C. When the valuation of the proposed con- struction exceeds $1,000.00 and a plan is required to be submitted by Subsection (c) of Section 301, a plan- checking fee shall be paid to the Building Official at the time of submitting plans and specifications for checking. Said plan - checking fees for buildings of Groups I and J Occupancies shall be one -half of the building permit fees. Plan - checking fees for all other buildings shall be 65 percent of the building permit fees as set forth in Table No. 3 -A. Where plans are incomplete, or changed so as to require additional plan checking, an additional plan -check fee shall be charged at a rate established by the Building Official (c) Expiration of plan Check. Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation and plans submitted for checking may thereafter be re- turned to the applicant or destroyed by the Building Official. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant shoving that circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. In order to renew action on an application after expiration, the applicant shall resubmit plans and pay a new plan -check fee. (d) Reinspect ion Fee.
