AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 2 -321, 2 -322 AND 2 -323 THEREOF RELATING
TO COMPOSITION OF THE CITY GOLF COMMISSION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by amending Sections 2 -321, 2 -322 and 2 -323 thereof to read as
follows:
Sec. 2 -321 Commission Created - Composition There
is hereby established a commission which shall be known as
the Golf Commission of the City of Alameda, which shall
consist of seven (7) members. Members shall at the time
of their appointment and continuously during incumbency
be electors of the City; they shall be nominated by the
Mayor and appointed by the City Council.
Sec. 2 -322 Membership - Appointment - Removal The
seven (7) members of said Commission shall first be appoint-
ed in this manner: One for a term of One (1) year; two for
a term of two (2) years; two for a term of three (3) years;
two for a term of four (4) years; or until the successor
of any appointee shall be appointed and shall have qualified.
The City Council shall designate which of said first members
shall serve for the original terms designated. All such
terms shall begin on October 1, 1973. Thereafter members
shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years, or until
their successors are appointed and qualified.
Regular members may be removed from the Commission by
the affirmative vote of four (4) members of the City
Council.
Sec. 2 -323 Voting The votes of four (4) members
of said Commission shall be necessary for any action
thereof.
Section 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.

Ordinance was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day
of February, 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Sherratt, Tillman, (3).
NOES: Councilman Diament and President Corica, (2).
ABSENT: None.
