AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING
SECTION 1.7 -321 TO CHAPTER 3 OF TITLE XVII RELATING
TO PARALLEL PARKING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding Section 17 -321 to Chapter 3 of Title XVII thereof, to
read:
Sec. 17 -321 Para . Except as otherwise
provided in the Vehicle Code of the State of California
for state highways and except upon those streets which
have been specifically designated and marked for diagonal
parking, no person shall park or leave standing any vehicle
in the roadway of any street or highway, or on any street
or highway, unless the whole of said vehicle is completely
within the area which is designated by pavement markings
as boundaries for parallel parking space.
Section 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.
