Ordinance 1963CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1963 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 13 -195 THEREOF RELATING TO LICENSE FEES FOR THE BUSINESS OF OUTDOOR ADVERTISING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 . Section 13 -195 of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: Sec. 13 -195 Advertising, Billboards Every person conducting or carrying on the business of outdoor advertis- ing in the City by means of bill posting, bulletin, sign painting, pasting, sticking, tacking, hanging, affixing or painting bills or signs to or upon posts, fences, walls, billboards, buildings or other structures shall pay an annual license fee based upon the following schedule: (a) Non - illuminated poster panels - $150 for each panel; (b) Illuminated poster panels - $300 for each panel; (c) Bulletin boards - $2,000 for each panel; and (d) All others - 50% of gross revenues. (e) Structures which conform to the provisions of Section 12 -2513 of the Municipal Code: (i) Non - illuminated poster panels - $50 for each panel; (ii) Illuminated poster panels - $100 for each panel; -1- Section 2 . This ordinance shall become effective, except as provided in Section 3, on the date, and only then, that Ordinance No. 1915 N.S. is held invalid by a court of last resort. In the event that Ordinance No. 1915 N.S. is held invalid by a court of last resort, this ordinance shall apply to fiscal year 1978 -1979 and all subsequent fiscal years as if adopted as of the date Ordinance No. 1915 N.S. was adopted. Section 3 . Subsection (e) of Section 13 -195. , added by this ordinance, shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage. Section 4 . In the event that sign(s) abatable under Article 11 -14B of the Alameda Municipal Code have not been u_ o amortized pursuant to Section 11- 14D11(b) thereof by February .z o: C 16, 1979, Ordinance No. 1915 N.S. shall not apply to such sign(s) until February 17, 1979. > a J �U Pres,Zding Officer of the Council Attest: r f.!
