AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 13 -195.5 RELATING TO LICENSE FEES FOR THE
BUSINESS OF LEASING OR PROVIDING SPACE FOR
ADVERTISING SIGNS OR STRUCTURES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 13 -195.5 of the Alameda Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read:
Sec. 13- 195.5 Billboard Structures Every person
conducting or carrying on the business of leasing or
otherwise providing space on property within the City of
Alameda for the placement of signs, billboards or other
structures used by another person to conduct or carry on
the business of outdoor advertising shall pay an annual
license fee, in addition to license fee(s) required for
any other business conducted on the premises, based on
the following schedule:
(a) Non - illuminated poster panels - $50 for each panel;
(b) Illuminated poster panels - $75 for each panel;
(c) Bulletin boards - $400 for each panel; and
(d) All others - $300 for each panel.
(e) Structures which conform to the provisions of
Section 12 -2513 of the Municipal Code;
(i) Non - illuminated poster panels - $10 for each
panel;

(ii) Illuminated poster panels - $20 for each
panel.
oection 2 . This ordinance shall become effective, ex-
cept as provided in Section 3, on the date, and only then, that
Ordinance No. 1924 N.S. is held invalid by a court of last
resort. In the event that Ordinance No. 1924 N.S. is held
invalid by a court of last resort, this ordinance shall apply
to fiscal year 1978 -1979 and all subsequent fiscal years as
if adopted as of the date Ordinance No. 1924 N.S. was adopted.
Section 3 . Subsection (e) of Section 13- 195.5, added
by this ordinance, shall be in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its
final passage.
