Ordinance 1976CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1976 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA ELECTRICAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1868 N.S., TO PROHIBIT MIXING OF WIRING INVOLVED IN DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL SERVICES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 . The Alameda Electrical Code is hereby amended by adding Section 300 -3(c) to Section 2 Changes, Additions and Deletions of Ordinance No. 1868 N.S., to read as follows: Section 2 Changes, Additions and Deletions Additions VI(A) ARTICLE 300 -- WIRING METHODS Section 300 -3 Conductors of Different Systems is amended by adding the following to subsection (c) thereof: "Conductors Supplied by Individual Disconnecting Means in Two or More Occupancy Buildings: "Conductors of circuits derived from a sub - service disconnecting means for an individual occupancy shall not occupy the same wiring enclosure, cable, or raceway with conductors for other occupancies. "Exception 1. Emergency circuit wiring. "Exception 2. Group mounted service boards in single enclosures and auxiliary gutters at service switchboard location." -1- Section 2.
