AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CERTAIN
SECTIONS THERETO AND AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS THEREOF
RELATING TO COMMUNITY CARE FACILITIES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA THAT:
Section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding Sections 11- 1211.01, 11- 1217.1 and 11- 1235.1 to
Article 2, Chapter 1, Title XI thereof, to read:
Sec. 11- 1211.01 " Community Care Facility ": Any
facility, place or building which is maintained and
operated to provide nonmedical residential care, in-
cluding but not limited to Family Day Care Homes and
Residential Care Facilities.
Sec. 11- 1217.1 " Family Day Care Home ": A community
care facility for children which provides care for less
than twenty -four (24) hours a day and which also serves
as the residence of the operator.
Sec. 11- 1235.1 " Residential Care Facility ": A
community care facility which provides care on a twenty -
four (24) hour basis.
Section 2 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding Subsections (g) and (h) to Sec. 11 -132; Subsection (c)
to Sec. 11 -133; Subsections (g) and (h) to Sec. 11 -136;. Sub-
section (c) to Sec. 11 -137; Subsections (d) and (e) to

Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days
from the date of its final passage.
