AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN CITY -OWNED REAL
PROPERTY TO THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Compromise Contract between the
City of Alameda and the Alameda Unified School District of Alameda
County, State of California,authorized by Resolution No. 8505, adopted
on April 6, 1976 and City of Alameda Ordinance No. 1806 N.S., passed
April 20, 1976, the City transferred unto the School District certain
real property described in said Compromise Contract, for the purpose
of clearing titles on certain school sites; and
WHEREAS, a certain portion of the land described as the
"Old Lincoln School" site at 2900 Central Avenue was not properly
conveyed from the City to the School District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1 . That the City of Alameda transfer unto the
Board of Education, Alameda Unified School District of Alameda County,
all that certain real property situate in the City of Alameda, County
of Alameda, State of California, and more particularly described
as follows:
All of the eastern half of Lot 2, in Block 92, as
shown on the "Map of Town of Alameda and Adjacent
Lands," filed September 12, 1867, in Book 5 of Maps,
page 16, in the Office of the Alameda County
Recorder, and as described in the Deed to the City
of Alameda, recorded August 31, 1908, in Book 1519
of Deeds, page 30, in the Office of the Alameda
County Recorder.

Section 2 . That the Mayor of the City of Alameda is
hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of
the City of Alameda, a quit claim deed conveying said real property
to the Board of Education, Alameda Unified School District of
Alameda County, and the City Clerk is directed to attest to the same.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Ordinance was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th
day of February, 1980, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
