AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF A LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT,
AS LESSOR, AND THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, AS LESSEE,
RELATING TO THE PREMISES TO BE USED FOR THE MASTICK
SENIOR CENTER
WHEREAS, Alameda Unified School District, a public corpora-
tion, hereinafter referred to as Lessor, has offered to lease to
the City of Alameda, hereinafter referred to as Lessee, certain
property owned by Lessor, known as Mastick School, located at
1525 Bay Street in the City of Alameda and more particularly
described in the form of lease agreement hereinafter referred to,
for the purpose of operating thereon the Mastick Senior Center,
for a period of twenty (20) years from the 1st day of July, 1980;
and
WHEREAS, a form of lease agreement setting forth the terms
and conditions agreed upon between the Lessor and Lessee has been
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, marked "Filed
June 3, 1980 "; and
WHEREAS, the Council is aware of the contents of said
lease agreement, and the execution of said lease agreement is
deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Alameda;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1 . That the form of lease agreement referred to
above and the terms and conditions contained therein are hereby
approved and accepted.

Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, a Lease
Agreement substantially in the form and containing the terms
and conditions referred to in said Lease Agreement filed with
the City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest
to same.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and

effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.

I, the undersigned, nereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of June, 1980,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and
President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
