AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE AGREEMENT TO THE
ALAMEDA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RELATING TO RENTAL
OF OFFICE SPACE ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF CITY HALL
WHEREAS, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce desires to lease
from the City of Alameda for its offices those certain premises
commonly known as Room 101 located on the ground floor of the
Alameda City Hall, located at 2263 Santa Clara Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a form of lease containing the covenants and
agreements to be entered into is on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Alameda and the City Council is aware
of the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said premises
be so leased;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that:
1. The form of lease referred to herein, and the terms,
conditions, covenants and agreements contained therein, be, and
the same are hereby, approved.
2. The Mayor of the City of Alameda be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda,
a lease subsantially in the form and containing the terms, covenants
and conditions set out in the aforesaid form of lease, and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same.
3. Upon the effective date of the Lease Agreement referred
to herein, the Lease Agreement between the Alameda Chamber of
Commerce and the City of Alameda authorized by Resolution No.
9720, adopted on March 16, 1982 is hereby terminated.
4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of
its final passage.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the lst day of June, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
