AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING AND REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTIES
WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA BY AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1277, NEW SERIES
APPLICANT: Arthur Thoms, 1196 -1198 Park Street and
2406 San Jose Avenue
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
as follows:
Section 1 . Section 11 -116 of Ordinance No. 1277 N.S.,
is hereby amended by reclassifying and rezoning from R -5, General
Apartment District, to C -1, Neighborhood Business District, all
the real property situate within the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southern line of San Jose Avenue
with the eastern line of Park Street, as said line of Park Street
exists since the widening thereof, running thence southerly along said
line of Park Street, 28 feet, 4 inches; thence easterly parallel with
said line of San Jose Avenue, 122 feet; thence at right angles 28 feet;
4 inches to the said line of San Jose Avenue thence westerly along said
last named line, 122 feet; to the point of beginning.
Being a portion of Lot No. 16 as said lot is delineated and so design -
- =` ated on the certain map entitled, 'WIap of Alameda Park Homestead ",
filed May 30, 1874, in Book 17, of Maps, page 32, Alameda County

referred to as Reclassification and Rezoning Amendment No. 123

to Ordinance No. 1277, N.S.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from
the date of its final passage.
