AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF TITLE XVII OF THE ALAMEDA
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH FERNSIDE BOULEVARD FROM
ENCINAL AVENUE TO OTIS DRIVE AS A THROUGH ROUTE AND
FERNSIDE BOULEVARD AND ENCINAL AVENUE AS A FOUR -WAY
STOP INTERSECTION; TO CHANGE MAXIMUM PARKING FROM ONE
HOUR TO 30 MINUTES FOR THREE SPACES ON THE EAST SIDE OF
PARK STREET SOUTH OF CENTRAL AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1 . Section 17 -431 (Through Highways) of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Subsections (26), (27)
and (28) thereto, to read:
(26) Encinal Avenue, from the easterly line of Sherman
Street to the westerly line of Fernside Boulevard, excluding
however, its intersections with Grand Street, Chestnut Street,
Willow Street, Oak Street, Park Street, Broadway, and High
Street.
(27) Fernside Boulevard, from the northerly line of
Otis Drive to the westerly line of Pearl Street, excluding
however, its intersections with High Street and Encinal
Avenue.
(28) Otis Drive, from the easterly line of Park Street
to the easterly line of Fernside Boulevard, excluding how-
ever, its intersections with Broadway and High Street.
Section 2 . Section 17 -431 (Through Highways) of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by repealing Subsections (3), (4)
and (16) thereof.
Section 3 . Section 17 -432 (Stop Intersections) of the Alameda
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Subsection (233) thereto,
to read:
(233) Encinal Avenue and Fernside Boulevard: Signs
shall be erected on Encinal Avenue at or near the northeast-
erly and southwesterly corners of its intersection with
Fernside Boulevard. Signs shall be erected on Fernside
Boulevard at or near the northwesterly and southeasterly
corners of its intersection with Encinal Avenue.

Section 4 . Section 17 -364.1 (1 -Hour Parking Limit) of the
Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by repealing Subsection
(a) of Section 6 and by adding Subsection (e) thereto, to read:
6. (e) East curb line of Park Street, 92 feet
southerly from the south line of Central Avenue and
running thence southerly 279 feet.
Section 5 . Section 17 -364.1 (30- Minute Parking Limit) of
the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Section
13. (a) thereto, to read:
13. Park Street (Central Avenue to Encinal Avenue)- -
commencing at a point in the
(a) East curb line of Park Street between the south-
erly side of Central Avenue and a point 92 feet southerly
therefrom.
Section 6 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date
of its final passage.
