Ordinance 2129CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 2129 New Series AUTHORIZING SALE OF CERTAIN CITY -OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO JACX HARPE AND ILSE HARPE (1910 CLEMENT AVENUE) WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is the owner of certain real property situate in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid real property is no longer required by the City of Alameda for municipal purposes, and public con- venience and necessity require the disposal of said real property; and WHEREAS, this property was advertised for sale by the City and sealed proposals were requested; and WHEREAS, Jack Harpe and Ilse Harps submitted the highest bid, offering to purchase said real property from the City of Alameda for the sum of $117,800; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA: S ection 1 . That the City of Alameda convey unto the said Jack Harpe and Ilse Harpe all that certain real property commonly designated as 1910 Clement Avenue, situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, particularly described as: -1- Beginning at a point on the Southern line of Clement Avenue, distant 70 feet Westerly from the point of intersection thereof with the Western line of Chestnut Street, running thence Westerly along said i , R line of Clement Avenue 38 feet; thence at right angles Southerly 100 feet; thence at right angles f c Easterly 38 feet; thence at right angles Northerly 100 feet to the point of beginning. 4 z Being portions of Lots 17 and 18 in Block 60 as said lots and block are shown on the "Map of Encinal N Station, Town of Alameda, owned by Columbus Bartlett," filed April 17, 1875 in Book 17 of Maps, Page 44, in the Recorder's Office of Alameda County. Said property is also shown on reference -1- maps in the office of Assessor of Alameda County in Map Book 71, Page or Block 259, Parcel 2. for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($117,800) to be paid in cash, with escrow to close within thirty days after the effective date of this ordinance, to the City of Alameda by said Jack Harpe and Ilse Harpe coincident with the tender of a deed conveying said property. Escrow, title insurance and other charges, if any, shall be paid by said purchaser. Section 2 . That the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, a deed conveying said real property to Jack Harpe and Ilse Harpe, and the City Clerk is directed to attest to same. Section 3 .
