AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH ASSOCIATION OF BAY
AREA GOVERNMENTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as
follows:
Section 1 . That certain Lease - Purchase Agreement by and
between the City of Alameda and Association of Bay Area Governments,
dated as of August 1, 1983 (the "Lease- Purchase Agreement ") a copy
of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby
approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the Lease - Purchase Agreement on behalf of the City, and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest her signature
and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
S ection 2 . The City Attorney and City Manager are hereby
authorized to approve any changes to the Lease - Purchase Agreement
that hereafter become necessary in the interests of the City, which
changes do not materially affect the substance of the Lease - Purchase
Agreement or materially increase the obligations of the City under
the Lease - Purchase Agreement, including, without limitation, the
schedule of Lease Payments to be made by the City to the Association,
as shown on Exhibit A to the Lease - Purchase Agreement.
Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be published once in the
Alameda Times -Star a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City, within fifteen (15) days after its passage, pursuant
to Section 54242 of the Government Code.
S ection 4 . This Ordinance is subject to referendum and shall
therefore become effective upon the commencement of the 31st day
:a after the day of its passage.
