Mayor Gilmore convened the meeting at 7:11 p.m. Boy Scout Troop 2 led the Pledge of
Allegiance.
ROLL CALL — Present: Councilmembers Bonta, deHaan, Johnson, Tam and
Mayor Gilmore — 5.
Absent: None.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS, NON - AGENDA
(11 -511) Rona Rothenberg, Alameda; and Stuart Rickard, Alameda, discussed the trees
that were cut down on Park Street.
(11 -512) Jacqueline Keenan, Alameda, discussed the animal shelter.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Vice Mayor Bonta moved approval of the Consent Calendar.
Councilmember Johnson seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous voice vote

The City Council discussed the FY 2012 -13 budget, including specific funds, such as
sewer, equipment replacement, library, police and fire; making strategic cuts; and
revenue generation.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Gilmore adjourned the meeting at 9:38 p.m.
