Resolution 14715CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 14715 RENEWING AN AGREEMENT WITH CARDUCCI LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE THE DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE RENOVATION OF KRUSI PARK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $301,250 WHEREAS, improvements to Krusi Park including landscape work and replacement of the recreation building are one of several projects recommended by the Recreation and Parks Commission and approved by City Council to receive Measure WW funding; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda issued a Request for Proposals to secure a firm able to provide architectural design and construction management services and Carducci Landscape Architects was selected after a comprehensive process; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized an agreement with Carducci Landscape Architects on June 21, 2011, in an amount not to exceed $301,250; and WHEREAS, Carducci Landscape Architects has completed the design and, after City Council approval, will continue their scope of work including preparation of bid documents and construction management; and WHEREAS, the current agreement expired December 2011 and the terms of this agreement renewal are through January 2014 in order to provide adequate time for construction, planting establishment, closeout, and post - project evaluation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda authorizes the City Manager to renew an agreement with Carducci Landscape Architects to provide the design and project management services for the renovation of Krusi Park in an amount not to exceed $301,250. 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of July, 2012, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Bonta, deHaan, Johnson, Tam and Mayor Gilmore — 5.
