Resolution 14722CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 14722 ACCEPTING SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY PLAYGROUNDS FOR DEMOLITION AND INSTALLATION OF TILLMAN PARK PLAYGROUND, FUNDED BY MEASURE WW IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $31,048 WHEREAS, the East Bay Regional Park District's (EBRPD) Measure t`f WW was approved by the voters in November 2008 and provides each agency in the EBRPD jurisdiction with a per capita allocation of funding. Based on the allocation formula, the City of Alameda is eligible for a total of $3,465,489 in Measure WW funds; and WHEREAS, in 2010 the City Council approved replacement of the Tillman Park playground structure in an amount not to exceed $100,000, funded by Measure WW; and WHEREAS, an unused playground was donated by the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) and two service agreements were executed with Community Playgrounds to 1) Remove the structure from AUSD property; 2) Install the playground structure at Tillman Park, including safety surfacing and an ADA ramp. WHEREAS, both service agreements were executed by staff under the authorization authority of the Recreation and Parks Director; and WHEREAS, the Tillman Park playground installation was completed in May, 2012. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda accepts the service agreement with Community Playgrounds in an amount not to exceed $31,048. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of July, 2012, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Bonta, deHaan, Johnson, Tam and Mayor Gilmore — 5.
