APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGES IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT TO ELIMINATE ONE PLANNER I POSITION AND ADD ONE
SUPERVISING PLANNER POSITION
WHEREAS, in order to increase operational efficiencies and improve customer
service of the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Planner position will provide management support
and direct oversight of the public planning counter operations; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Planner position will provide customer service
improvements and create efficiencies in the Planning Division.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda
that one Planner I position be eliminated and that one Supervising Planner position be
added.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 4th of December, 2012, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers deHaan, Johnson, Tam and
Mayor Gilmore — 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
