APPROVING A WORKFORCE CHANGE IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO ELIMINATE
ONE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT ANALYST AND ADD ONE SENIOR
MANAGEMENT ANALYST POSITION
WHEREAS, in order to increase operational efficiencies and improve'
programmatic services of the Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, the Senior Management Analyst will provide specialized 2,
management duties in various Fire administration areas; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Management Analyst will provide advanced level
of duties in Fire-related research, fiscal management, and program administration; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Management Analyst position will provide
management-level, Fire-specific analytical skills and improve internal efficiencies in the
Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that one Administrative Management Analyst position be eliminated and that
one Senior Management Analyst position be added.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 11th day of December, 2012, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers deHaan, Johnson, Tam and
