APPOINTING RYAN CLAUSNITZER AS TRUSTEE OF THE
ALAMEDA COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda appoints one member to the Alameda County
Mosquito Abatement District Board every two years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's current representative is retiring from the position,
thereby leaving a vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda sent out a press release asking for applicants to ' s I•
represent Alameda on the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District Board; and

WHEREAS, Ryan Clausnitzer is the most qualified applicant.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA THAT Ryan
Clausnitzer be, and he is hereby, appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the
Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District, to represent the City of Alameda, for a two -
year term beginning January 2, 2013.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the Board of Trustees of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 14th day of January, 2013, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Chen, Daysog, Ezzy Ashcraft, Tam and
Mayor Gilmore — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
