AWARDING CONTACT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF TO ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES, INC. FOR
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GAS CONTROL
SYSTEM AT THE DOOLITTLE LANDFILL
WHEREAS, the gas control system at the closed disposal
site owned by the City of Alameda, requires operation and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the gas control system and operating flare
operate under permit granted by the Bay Area Air Quality Management
District; and
WHEREAS, Environmental Resources Inc. is the sole
provider for operation and maintenance of the gas control system;
and
WHEREAS, funds for the operation and maintenance of the
gas control system was included in the Fiscal Year 1989-90 Capital
Improvement Projects Budget (#88-5) with the funding source being
the surcharge on garbage collection fees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, for and on behalf of the City, a contract
with Environmental Resources, Inc. for operation and maintenance
of the gas control system at the Doolittle landfill; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $33,000 is hereby
appropriated from the surcharge on garbage collection fees to fund
this project.
