Resolution 11896CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11895 AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF APPLICATIONS WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) has allocated funds for Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3, Pedestrian/Bicycle Projects for the fiscal year 1990-91; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to apply to the MTC for the funding of two projects: $75,000 for funding a portion of the construction of a separate bicycle lane on the Bay Farm Island Bridge, and $75,000 for funding a bicycle lane/path along Mecartney/Maitland Drive from Island Drive to Harbor Bay Parkway; and WHEREAS, there is a $7,500 appropriation required from Gas Tax Funds for the Mecartney/Maitland Drive Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda authorize the filing of applications with the Metropolitan Transportation Development Act for funds for fiscal year 1990-91 for the two projects described above. CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11897 AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR AMBULANCE BILLING SYSTEM AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATION THEREFOR WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda wishes to provide the necessary resources to allow for the efficient collection of ambulance fees; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the most efficient way of accomplishing this goal is to purchase a stand-alone microcomputer system; and WHEREAS, the City's existing system has broken down; and WHEREAS, the City is unable to bill ambulance fees because of the equipment failure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that great necessity for the ambulance billing system exists and requires immediate action; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is hereby authorized to acquire the required system on the open market; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation not to exceed $20,000 is hereby made for this acquisition. 1? roved o, Forn) X * 66636000**06066* 0. P.W. 10-89-17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda adopted plans and specifications and called for bids for Yorkshire Road Sanitary Sewer Pump Station and Other Sewer Rehabilitation at Various Locations No. P.W. 10-89-17 on November 7, 1989; and WHEREAS, the bid opening is set for December 5, 1989; and WHEREAS, it was originally proposed to award the contract, for this project on December 19, 1989; and WHEREAS, the October 17, 1989 earthquake caused structural failures to the sewer in Yorkshire Road, requiring repair as quickly as possible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Alameda authorizes award of the contract on December 5, 1989 to the best responsible bidder, as determined by the Public Works Director; and .
