AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF EXISTING LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH STEVE BACA, DOING
BUSINESS AS MISSION PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, on February 10, 1989, The City of Alameda
entered into an agreement with Steve Baca, doing business as
Mission Property Maintenance, to provide landscape maintenance of
various areas in the City for ten months; and
WHEREAS, the quality of work by said Contractor has been
acceptable to the City; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that increased efficiency
and better utilizaiton of City staff and contract services would
result if said contractor assumed responsibility for maintenance
at Portola Triangle; and
WHEREAS, Contractor has agreed to perform said landscape
services for an additional one year period at the rate originally
agreed to, with the addition of a monthly maintenance charge of
$0.0042 per square foot for the Portola Triangle Work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and each hereby is,
authorized to execute and to attest to, respectively on behalf of
the City, an amendment (see Exhibit A attached) to that certain
agreement between the City and Steve Baca, doing business as
Mission Property Maintenance, for landscape maintenance services,
extending the term of the agreement for one year and adding the
work and associated costs of maintaining the Portola Tslan le

MODIFICATION OF AGREEMENT
This Modification of Agreement, entered into this 19th day
of December, 1989, by and between the CITY OF ALAMEDA,
municipal corporation (hereinafter "City ") and Steve Baca doing
business as MISSION PROPERTY MAINTENANCE, (hereinafter
"Contractor "), is made with reference to the following:
RECITALS:
A. On February 10, 1989, an agreement for landscape
maintenance in accordance with No. P.W. 12 -88 -21 was entered into
by and between City and Contractor (hereinafter "Agreement ").
B. City and Contractor desire to modify the Agreement on
the terms and conditions set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by and between and
undersigned parties as follows:
1. Amend Section 1 to extend the term of the contract to
December 31, 1990.
2. Add to Section 2:

EXHIBIT A
2. Except as expressly modified herein, all other terms
and covenants set forth in the Agreement shall remain the same
