Resolution 11937CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11937 AWARDING CONTRACT TO LA SHA, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRE STATION-VILLAGE V, BAY FARM ISLAND PROJECT, NO. P.W. 8-89-13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda, at its meeting on January 2, 1990 adopted plans and specifications and called for bids for the construction of a 10,000 square foot fire station; and WHEREAS, at the bid opening on February 6, 1990, ten proposals were submitted, and the low bid was that of LA SHA, INC. in the amount of $1,188,026; and WHEREAS, the contract allows for 177 consecutive working days to complete the project, said project to begin in March and work expected to be completed by the end of December, 1990; and WHEREAS, funds for the project were approved in the 1989- 90 capital improvement budget in the amount of $1,291,180; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff that $1,306,829 be allocated from the Mello-Roos District account to fund the project, which includes a 10% contingency, and no general fund cost or appropriation is involved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda awards the contract for the construction of a 10,000 square foot fire station (No. P.W. 8-89-13) to LA SHA, INC. 'n the amount of $1,188,026.00 and allocate $1,306,829.00 from ello-Roos District account to fund the project, which includes a 0% contingency.
