Resolution 12027CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12027 CALLING GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ON TUESDAY, MARCH 5, 1991; ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS; FIXING NUMBER OF ELECTION OFFICERS ON THE BOARD OF ELECTION FOR EACH PRECINCT; FIXING COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND DESIGNATING HOURS OF VOTING WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Alameda provides that a General Municipal Election shall be held in said City on Tuesday, March 5, 1991; and WHEREAS, at said General Municipal Election, and pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of said City, officers are to be elected to fill the office of Mayor for one full term; the office of Councilmember for two full terms; and the office of Member of Board of Education for two full terms; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that a General Municipal be, and is hereby, called and ordered to be held in said City of Alameda, State of California, on Tuesday, March 5, 1991, in accordance with the provisions of said Charter of the City of Alameda and the Elections Code of the State of California, for the purpose of electing the following named officers of the City for the terms specified: One (1) Mayor of said City for one full term commencing at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the third Tuesday in April, 1991, and continuing for four (4) years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified. Two (2) Councilmembers on the Council of said City, each term commencing at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the third Tuesday in April, 1991, and continuing for four (4) years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified. Two (2) Members of the Board of Education of said City, each texiu commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of ,---crthe month in April, 1991, and continuing for four (4) years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified, co and for the purpose of voting on any measures or propositions which may lawfully be submitted at said election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the election precincts within the City of Alameda, designated and numbered as the same were last heretofore defined, fixed and established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, State of California, as the election precincts within the City of Alameda for holding General State and County Elections be, and the same are hereby, fixed, designated, and established as the election precincts for holding the aforesaid General Municipal Election. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the sixteenth day of October, 1990, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas, Withrow and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. ABSTENTIONS: None.
