AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS
CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION GRANT CONTRACT FOR THE GRAND
STREET BOAT LAUNCHING FACILITY PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has obtained grant approval
from the State of California Department of Boating and Waterways
in the sum of $294,000 for the Grand Street Boat Launching Facility
project, for the rehabilitation of the existing boat ramp and
improvement to the adjacent parking area; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared by the Department
of Boating and Waterways which includes a feasability report as
part of the grant application and an engineering cost estimate; and
WHEREAS, the contract requires the signature by a City
representative and a resolution by the City Council authorizing the
signature; and
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Boating
and Waterways is funding the cost of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Council authorize the Public Works Director to
execute the Grand Street Construction and Operation Grant Contract.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the fifteenth day
of January, 1991, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas,
Withrow and Mayor Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
