ADOPTING THE REVISED GENERAL PLAN ELEMENTS
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 12049, adopted December 4,
1990, the City Council adopted the Housing Element of the General
Plan; and
WHEREAS, after holding public hearings on the proposed General
Plan Revision and examining pertinent maps, drawings and documents
as contained in the Staff Reports to the Planning Board dated
January 14 and 28, 1991, the Planning Board at its January 28, 1991
meeting voted to recommend approval of the General Plan Revision;
and
WHEREAS, the Revised General Plan Elements will not have
adverse impact on the environment, as determined by the Final
Environmental Impact Report; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan Revision updates the current
Combined Land Use Plan (CLUP) and other State mandated General Plan
Elements to reflect the community's vision of its long -term or
ultimate physical form and a guarantee of stable development
policies.
WHEREAS, the General Plan Revision is consistent with the
adopted Housing Element; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan Revision and the reviousl ado ted

Housing Element are consistent with the proposed Measure A, which
is to be voted on in the March 5, 1991 election; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda considered the
General Plan Revision on February 5, 1991; and
WHEREAS, after holding a public hearing on the proposed
General Plan Revision and examining pertinent maps, drawings and
documents on February 5, 1991, as contained in the Staff Report
dated January 29, 1991, the Council of the City of Alameda voted
to adopt the Revised General Plan Elements;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that said Council adopts, by this resolution, the Revised
General Plan Elements.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the fifth day of
February, 1991, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Withrow and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Thomas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
