Resolution 12085CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12085 'AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE FOR ONE TORO PARKMASTER MOWER FOR THE GOLF COMPLEX WHEREAS, there is a scheduled replacement of a fairway mower in the 1991-1992 budget from the Golf Enterprise Fund; and WHEREAS, there is great necessity to replace the existing lawn maintenance equipment that is beyond economical repair; and WHEREAS, acquiring the Toro Parkmaster Mower will promote safety of park maintenance operators and enable the golf complex to realize additional economies in maintenance costs; and WHEREAS, the Golf Enterprise Fund 1991-1992 budget lists a Toro Parkmaster as a replacement piece of equipment, and WHEREAS, acquiring the Toro Parkmaster Mower in the 1990- 1991 fiscal year will have no material impact on the fund balance of the Golf Enterprise Fund; and WHEREAS, the Golf Manager and the Purchasing Agent have reviewed a proposal submitted by West Star Distributing Company, and have concluded that the price is fair and acceptable; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3-15 of the City Charter, the Council may determine that great necessity requires immediate action and thereupon proceed to purchase such mower inc)the open market. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City : I of Alameda, by 4/5 vote, pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter, the City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to purchasez one Toro Parkmaster mower, at the all inclusive cost of $44,084 in :),/3 the open market without formal bidding procedures. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the second day of April, 1991, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Withrow, and President Corica - 4.
