AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF APPLICATIONS WITH THE
METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
FOR ALLOCATION OF REGIONAL MEASURE 1-3% MONIES
FOR BAY FARM ISLAND BIKE BRIDGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, Regional Measure 1 provides for the disbursement
of funds from the Southern Bridge toll one dollar increase for use
by eligible claimants for the purpose of ferry and bicycle
projects; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have
been adopted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in
accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned legislation,
an eligible claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the
Regional Measure 1-3% monies shall file its application with the
appropriate transportation planning agency; and
WHEREAS, funds will be required for design and
construction of the Bay Farm Island Bike Bridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager is authorized to execute and file
an appropriate claim pursuant to applicable rules and regulatior42
promulgated by same legislation together with all necessar
supporting documents, with the Metropolitan Transportationi
Commission, for fiscal year 1991-92; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution bei:
transmitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in<;
conjunction with the filing of the claim and the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission be requested to concur in these findings
and grant the allocations of funds as specified herein.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the second day of
April, 1991, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Withrow,
and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Thomas - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
