CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING FOR MAY 21,
1991 ON THE PROPOSED COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE
BUSINESS AND WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND THE FINAL EIR
RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission of the City
of Alameda (the "Commission"), by Resolution No. 91-49 on April 16,
1991, submitted to the City Council of the City of Alameda (the
"City Council") a proposed Community Improvement Plan (the
"Community Improvement Plan") for the Business and Waterfront
Improvement Project (the "Project") and consented to and requested
that the City Council call a joint public hearing of the Commission
and the City Council to consider and act upon the proposed
Community Improvement Plan, together with a joint public hearing
on the Final Environmental Impact Report relating thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the
proposed Community Improvement Plan, along with the Report to the
City Council and the Final Environmental Impact Report on the
Community Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 33355 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.)
authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed Community
Improvement Plan with the consent of the Commission and the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and, at
the request of the Commission, calls a joint public hearing of the.
Commission and the City Council on May 21, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers to consider and act upon the proposed
Community Improvement Plan and all documents and evidence .
pertaining thereto, together with a joint public hearing on theor— cn
Final Environmental Impact Report for the Project.

Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall,
in cooperation with the Secretary of the Commission, prepare,
publish and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts
as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the sixteenth of
April, 1991, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Roth and
President Withrow - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
