AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 11887 ADOPTING A STREET TREE
MASTER PLAN, THEREBY MODIFYING CONDITION NO. 25 OF
PLANNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 1979 PERTAINING TO PAVING
OF PLANTER STRIPS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board, at the August 28, 1989 Planning
Board meeting, adopted Resolution No. 1979 approving a Street Tree
Management Plan, with findings and conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the November 21, 1989 City
Council meeting, adopted Resolution No. 11887, thereby adopting
Planning Board Resolution No. 1979, approving a Draft Street Tree
Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the September 3, 1991 City
Council meeting, determined that Condition No. 25 addressing paving
was too restrictive and agreed to modify the standard by amending
Resolution No. 1979; 17
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City C) 3
of Alameda that Condition No. 25 of Planning Board Resolution No. CD
1979 be modified to read as follows: a> CI

25. The Plan shall be amended to indicate that planter strips 0 (i)
between street curbs and sidewalks shall not be cemented :2 C

approval shall only be granted if street trees within the c
affected area are planted in all appropriate locations.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the seventeenth
of September, 1991, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth
and President Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
