Resolution 12172CITY OF. ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12172 GUARANTEEING MATCHING FUNDS FOR BIKE LANE ACCOUNT PROJECTS WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's adopted Bicycle Master Plan (1976) identifies several projects that are necessary to complete a comprehensive, safe, and contiguous bicycle network; and WHEREAS, one funding source, available on a competitive basis only, is the Caltrans Bike Lane Account; and WHEREAS, proposals are due on December 1, 1991, and must include a resolution by Council guaranteeing matching funds; and c) r WHEREAS, three projects that are eligible for said funds are 1) Mariner Square Drive Bike Path with the estimated project ) .-ti cost being $57,500 and the minimum required matching funding being $5,750; 2) Doolittle Drive Bike Path Connection to Bay Farm Island Undercrossing with the estimated project cost being $42,500 and them minimum required matching funding being $4,250; and 3) Main Street Bike Path Extension from Atlantic Avenue to the Alameda Ferry Terminal entrance with the estimated project cost being $77,000 and the minimum required matching funding being $7,700. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby guarantees matching funds for Bike Lane Account Projects in the amount of $17,700. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the nineteenth of November, 1991, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
