Resolution 12181CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12181 ESTABLISHING FIXTURE FEES FOR PLUMBING PERMITS AND MECHANICAL PERMITS WHEREAS, the current fixture fees for Plumbing and Mechanical permits were adopted by the City of Alameda in 1978; and WHEREAS, in the last fourteen years fixture fees have not been increased, however, City personnel costs have continued to increase as a result of cost of living salary increases and the need for more inspection hours as a result of more stringent Code requirements; and WHEREAS, the proposed fees represent an increase of approximately sixty percent (60%) which corresponds to an annual cost of living increase of approximately three and one half percent (3.5%) over the last fourteen years and would result in an annual revenue increase of approximately $15,000; WHEREAS, the fee increase will bring Alameda's fees in line with those charged in neighboring communities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the City Council, by resolution, establish fixture fees for Plumbing Permits and Mechanical Permits, as detailed on the fee schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A.
