PROVIDING FOR REFUNDING DELINQUENT TAX PENALTY
TO ASENATH KNOX, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 601.
WHEREAS, Asenath Knox, trustee for the estate of Anna Farris, on or about
November 24, 1922, sent a certified check for :$4.13 An payment of the taxes on Lots
4 and 5, Bicok 7, Bartlett 50 Acre Tract In the City of Alameda,
AND WHEREAS, it appears that through a misunderstanding between herself an
the tax collector, the taxes on said property became delinquent and she became subject
to the penalty on said delinquent taxes through no fault of her own,
AND WHEREAS', it further appears that she made an original tender of the full
amount of the tax due prior to the time the same became delinquent and has in the mean-
time paid said tax, together with the penalty for delinquency, wherefore, in the opir-
ion of the city council., the penalty of t7.13 imposed thereon for such delinquency was
erroneously collected, now therefore
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED and ordered by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the sum of 47.13 so imposed as a penalty for delinquency as aforesaid, be, and the same
is hereby ordered refunded by the tax collector, pursuant to the provisions of tion
90 of the Municipal Code.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that Resolution No. 601 be, and the came is hereby repealed.

regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meet-
ing' assembled on the Sth day of March, 1923, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES i Councilmen Aaams, Latham, Probst and President Otis, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Tilden (1).
