FIXING THE SALARIES OF TEE OFFICERS AND =PERS OF T} POLICE
AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF THE OITY OF ALAMEDA.
RESOLVED, that the salaries of the officers and members of the Police
Department of the City of Alameda be, and they are hereby fixed as follows:
The Chief of Police shall receive Two Hundred and. Sixty-five Dollars
($265.00) per month; the Lieutenant of Police shall receive One Hundred and
Eighty-five Dollars ($165.00) per month; Detectives in the Po/ice Department
shall receive One Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($180i per month; Sergeants of
Police shall receive One Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($170.00) per month;
Patrolmen shall receive the following. amounts:
Those who have served less than one year, One Hundred and Forty Dollars
10140.001 per month;
Those who have served one year and less than two years, One Hundred and
Forty-five Dollars (.145.00) per month;
Those who have served two years and less than three years, One Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per month;
Those who have served three years or more, One Hundred and Fifty-five
Dollars ($155.00) per month.
RESOLVED, that the salaries of the officers and members of the Fire
Department of the City of Alameda be, and they are hereby fixed as follows
The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive Two Hundred and Sixty--
five Dollars (0265.00) per month; the First Assistant Chief shall receive One
Hundred and Ninety-five Dollars 4195.00) per month; the Second Assistant Chief
shall receive One Hundred and Eighty-five Dollars 10165.00) per month; Captains
in the Fire Department shall receive One Hundred and Seventy-five Dollars (0175.00)
per month; the Chief's Operator shall receive One Hundred and Sixty-five Dollars
(0165.00) per month; the "Fireman and. Mechanic" shall receive One Hundred and
Fifty-five Dollars (0155.00) per month;
Firemen shall receive the following amounts:
Those who have served less than one year, One Hundred and Forty Dollars
($140.00) per month;
Those win have served one year and less than two years, One 7unred and
Forty-five Dollars 1145.00) per month;
Those who have served two years and less than three jec.re, One Hundred and.
Fifty Dollars 4150.00) per month;
Those who hare served three years or moro, One Hundred e410 Fifty-five
Dollars (0155.00) per month,
RESOLVED, that the salaries aforementioned he paid in arrears for each
calendar month.
RESOLVED; that this resolution shall take effect and h in operation from
and after November 1, 1923.

I, the underaigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduce& and adopted by the Conrail of the City of'
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of September, 1923, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES; Councilmen Adana, Latham, Probst and Tilden, (4).
NOES; None.
ARDENT: Ceuncilman-president Otis, (1).
