ORDERING THE PAYMENT OF 12500,00 FOR 7RE PURCHASE OF
A STRIP OF LAND TO OPEN CENTRAL AVENUE BETWEEN
THIRD ANL FOURTH STREETS,
THEREAS, t Council of the City of Alameda did., on the 21st day of
Auvust, 1923, pass a resolution. to the effect that the City' of Alameda would
purchase a strip of land necessary to open Central Avenue ttween Third. and
Fourth Streets, said city, provided the purchase price of said land shoPid not
exceed (roe-third of the street improvements to to made thereon,
AHD WHEREAS, it appears that the Engineer's estimate of said improve-
ments was 17500.00 and it has since developed that said improvements have been
made and completed for said price, to-wit, 17500.00, now therefore
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said city accept a deed for said strip of
land and approve the purchase thereof, and that the sum of R2500.00 be, and. the
same is hereby ordered to be paid to Frank Hail, the owner of said land, in
consideration, therefor, 4d in accordance oath the provisions of said Resolution
To 664.

and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regdlar
meeting assembled on the 4th day of March, 1924, by the following vote, to wit:
