Resolution 00792RESCLUTION NO. 792. RESOLUTION OR1ERING THE WORK. ( Stanford Street) RESOLVED, that whereas the Council of the City of Alameda did on the 17th day of June, 1924, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 72A to order the:hereinafter described work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, which Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published as required by law, es appears from the affidavit of E. Erwin Crane, now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and whereas, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 72A headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly and legally posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all the property liable to be as- sessed tharefor, in form and manner as required by law, after the passage of said Resolution of Intention, as appears from the affidavit Len H. Nelson, who personally posted the same, and who, upon the completion of the posting of said notices, forth- with filed said affidavit in the office of the city clerk, raking oath that he com- pleted the posting of said notices on the 23rd day of May, 1924; and whereas, all protests or objections tresented have teen disposed of in time, form and manlier as required by law, and the city council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, it is hereby RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the work herein described, and the Council of the City of Alameda hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to-wit: That Stanford Street, between the northern line of Buena Vista Avenue and the southern line of Clement Street, be improved by grading, constructing conorete curbs; gutters, Rutter bridges, installing corrugated iron culverts; and paving the roadway with six inch oiled macadam pavement. The City council hereby orders, and it is hereby resolved, that the cost end expenses of that part of the above described. work lying and being on the street intersections between the lines afore- mentioned be paid for out of the general fund of the treasury of said city. All of said work Stall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications adopted therefor and now on file in the office of the city clerk. The city clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work, together with the plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber door, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered. He is also directed to publish twice a notice inviting such proposals, and referring to the specifications posted or on file in the Alameda Times Star, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said city, and hereby designated for that purpose, I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly End regularly passed by the Council of the City of Alameda, at a regular meeting of said Council held the 5th. day of August, 1924, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Latham, Noise, Probst, Tilden and President Otis, (5).
