Resolution 00817RESOLUTION NO. 817. AUTHORIZINC THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT AN 01'TI08 TO CERTAIN TIDE LANDS. WHEREAS, the South Shore Land. Company, a corporation, organized and doing business in the State of California, has offered to give the City of Alameda an option on certain tide lands containing 18.68 acres, more or less, extending out from Washing- ton Park in said city, for a period of one year, with a right to purchase said lands on or before the expiration of said period at the rate of One Hundred Dollars (100.00) per acre, conditional that in case of purchase said lands shall be used by the city only for recreation purposes for a period at least of twenty years, AND WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Counail, public interest and convenienae demands that the city accept said option, now therefore it is hereby RESOLVED, that the mayor of the city be, and he is hereby authorized and em- powered to accept the option of said lands on the terms aforementioned, and to affix his signature to the necessary documents for and on behalf of the City of Alameda. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda, in regular meet- ing assembled on the 18th day of November, 1924, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Latham, Neiss, Probst, Tilden and President Otis, (5).
