AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE EAST BAY WATER COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTING ADDI-
TIONAL WATER MAINS IN SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY CLER: TO ATTEST SAME.
WHEREAS, the council of the City of Alameda did heretofore authorize the
mayor, for and in behalf of the City of Alameda, to execute an agreement with the
East Bay Water Company for the installation and maintenance of larger water mains
in said. city, in accordance with the terms and conditions incorporated in the annexed
agreement;
AND WHEREAS, it now appears that public interest and safety demand that addi-
tional water mains be constructed on the following streets and highways:
6 inch Cast Iron Pipe on Garfield. Ave., between High St. and
Fernside Boulevard.
6 inoh Cast Iron Pipe on Liberty Ave., between High St. and
Fernside Boulevard,
6 inch Cast Iron Pipe on Central Ave., between High St. and
Fernside Boulevard.
6 inch Cast Iron Pipe on Briggs Ave., from Fernside Boulevard
westerly to connect with existing 6 inch pipe on Briggs Ave.
6 inch Cast Iron Pipe on Encinal Ave., from Fernside Boulevard
westerly to connect with existing 4 inch pipe on Encinal Ave.
6 inch Cast Iron Pipe on Fernside Boulevard from Garfield Ave.,
to Encinal Ave.
Now therefore, it is hereby
RESOLVED by the council of the City of Alameda that the mayor be, and he is
hereby authorized for and on behalf of said city to enter into an agreement with the
East Bay Water Company for the installation and maintenance of said additions:. mains
in accordance with the terms and conditions incorporated in the annexed agreement, and
the city clerk is hereby authorized to attest the same
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda, in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd day of December, 1924, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES; Councilmen Latham, Neiss, Probst, and President Otis, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT; Councilman Tilden, (1).

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of
