CONSENTING 70 ABANDONMENN OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda on July 15th, 1924, granted the Ney
t:?ste m Transit Company, a corporation, permission to operate a motor tus line in the East
end of the City of Alampda over the following route:
Beginning at the corner of Santa Clara Avenue and High Street, thence in
a general northerly direction along High Street to Monte Vista Avenue;
thenue in a general easterly direction along Monte 7ista Avenue to Fern-
side Soulevard; thence in e general southerly direction along Ternside
Boulevard to Briggs Avenue; thence in a general westerly direction along
BYige72 Avenue to High Street; and thence in a general, northerly direction
along High Street to the point if beginning;
AND WHEREAS, on January 27th, 1925, said Company was granted permission to operate
an automotive stage line betk:cen Santa Clara Avenue and High Street, Alameda, to High
Street and East 14th Street, Oakland, over the following route:
Beginning at Santa Clara Avenue and High Street, Alameda; thence along High
Street ,po Liberty Avenae;thance along Liberty Avenue to Fernside Doulevara;
thence along Fernside Boulevard to High Street;thence along High Street to
the Southern boundary line of Dakland; thence continuing along High Street,
Oakland to E. 14th Street; thence along 2. 14th Street to 44th Avenue; thence
along 44th Avenue to E. 12th Street; thence atone, E. 12th Street to High
Street; thence along High Street to the northern boundary line c Alameda;
thence continuing along High Street in Alameda to Fernside Soulevard; thence
along Ternside Boulevard to Briggs Avenue; thence along Briggs Avenue to High
Street;thence to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, said company desires to abandon the service over the route specified
in the permit granted July 15th, 1924, and substitute in lieu thereof service specified in
the route last mentioned running between Alameda and Oakland, nov( therefore
RESOLVED that, in consideration of the premises, sedd 'Rey Systen Transit Company
be and it is hereby authorized to abandon service over the route first above mentioned,
and the City Council hereby revokes the permit granted on July 15th, 1924 and consents to
the abandonment: of said service.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregiingResolution ass duly and regu-
larly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assem-
bled. cn the 3rd day of Fetruary, 1925, ty the folloaing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Latham, Noiss, Probst and ?resident Otis, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Souncilman Tilden, (1).
