RESOLUTION' NO 75 NEW SERIES, CLOSING. BENTON '3'L FROM THE NORTH

PORTIONS OR EAGLE AVENUE ADJACENT TO AND SOUTH OT SAID MARSHLAND
LINE BEFWEEN BENTON AND ARBOR STREETS AS SAID ARBOR STREET RLS
EORMERLY LAID OUT, 'L80 JAY STREET NORTHERLY ?ROM THE. NORTHERLY LINE
OF BUENA VISTA AVENUE TO FEE MARSHLAND LINE.
WHEREAS, the Council of Inc City of Alameda passed and adopted its Resolution
of intention No. 75 New Series, under and by virtue of the terms of which said Council
declared its intention to order the olosinfe up of Benton Street from the north line of
Buena, Vista Avenue northerly to the Marshland line, also all portions of Easmle Avenue
adjacent to and south of said Marshland line between Benton Street and Arbor Streets as
said Arbor Street was formerly laid nut, also Jay Street northerly from the northerly
line of Buena Vista Avenue to the Marshland lJnc, at appears from Inc annexed plat showing
said streets as parcels 1, 2, 5, 4, 5, and 5; the same being public highways in said
City of Alameda;
WHEREAS, in accordance with said resolution and an act of the legislature of
the State of California entitled "An act to provide for layin7 out and ope1 in2, extend-
ing, widening, straiFhtening or closing up, in whole or in part, any street., souare,
lane, aliey, court or place within municipalities and to ta-ce and acquire any and all
land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose" approved March 6, 1889,
said Council caused the patlication of the notices and advertisements required by law
to he published by the Street Saperintendent of said City in relation to said work and
imprpvement;
WHEREAS, it appears that said publication was made as required by law; and
WREILLAS it further appears that the Street Superintendent caused to be con-
spicuously posted notices of public u,ork under said Resolution of Intention an required
Iy law; and
WHEREAS, no written CT oral objections against said vior and improvement
having been made; and
WHERBAG Inc puhlie interest and convenienee requiring Inc closing up and aban-
doning of said streets as said streets appear from the annexed plat showing said streets
as parcels Nos. I, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6;
SE IT RESOLVED, that those portions of the followinE streets be and Inc same
are hereby closed and abandoned for street and highway purposes:
Benton Street from the north line of Buena Vista Avenue northerly to
the Marshland line, also all portions of Eagle AVerIlle ad,lacent to and
south of said Marshland line between Benton Street and Arhor Streets
as said Arbor Street was formerly laid out, also Jay Street northerly
from the northerly line of Baena Vista Avenue to the Marshland line,
as appears from Inc annexed plat showing said streets as parcels 1,
2,3,4,5 Fe 6; the same heing public highways in said City of Alampda.
